new, 6-10-7

I've added a lot of new material, but neglected to note it.

The French version of the 1993 trailer is HERE.

The Japanese version of the 1993 trailer is HERE.

In 1997, I had a commission to contribute a section to a compilation feature film called "Danish Girls Show Everything", organized by Holland House in Copenhagen. Directors included Mika Kaurismäki, Dusan Makavejev, Zhang Yuan, Krzysytof Zanussi, Gustav Hamos, and Monika Treut. The section I did is HERE.

In 2003, I did a test segment of the movie, to see what it would look like in 720p, a hi-def format. I didn't have a budget, so did the music edit myself, and used rather rough voice-overs. I apologize if the voices are difficult to understand, this was of course just a test segment. You can see it in French here [better mix] HERE, or English HERE .

Between 1997 and 2001, I did several different projection installations related to the movie. These were done as interactive 3-d [using vrml, in case you've heard of that]. They were online here for a while, but are offline at present... I intend to merge them into a longer online 3d piece. Two are demo'd here as video. The first "Residential Housing Constructed by the Manchu Edison Film Corporation for the use of Employees during the years Taisho 1-88, in Shinkyo, Manchuria" has a stories told by clicking through buildings under construction. See it HERE or HERE. The other example here is called "Reconstruction of a training device for telepathic katsuben as used during the production of the Manchu Edison Film 'The Telepathic Motion Picture of THE LOST TRIBES', Hsinking, Manchukuo, Taisho 25". That I guess explains itself. You can see it HERE..

For a general idea of my approach to interactive work at that time, you can see a general video demo HERE.

telepathic motion picture

i really can't wait for this to be done! i thought there used to be a pre-order option somewhere on the waxweb dvd order page...
kudos on wax too its one of my favorite works of art!

thanks

thanks Ivy,
no, it has taken so long that preorders would be a problem... for the person who ordered. Hopefully by around the end of the year.
