A start, and description of the movieWhat kind of movie? The story is set in Manchukuo [Northeastern China, under the Japanese] in a year on a fictional calendar that roughly corresponds to sometime in the late 1930's. The movie is, or is about, a film in production at the Manchu-Edison film studios in the capital city, Shinkyo, center of the country. The name of the film is "THE LOST TRIBES". Yes, it is a telepathic movie... the then-current speciality of the Manchu-Edison studios. How am I doing it? I'm making the movie in the mid-range hi-def format, 720p. Style-wise, you might call it semi-animated. It is a composite of images, start to finish, combining everything from stock footage to live actors to motion-capture driven 3d characters. [more...] When have I been doing it? I've been working on "The Telepathic Motion Picture of THE LOST TRIBES" since I finished the main part of "Wax"'s distribution, around 1993. The first trailer was done late that year. After getting some sponsorship, my wife and I spent 1995-1997 in Japan working on the project, and since that time I've been, well, working on it. Though a fair amount of time was siphoned off to "Waxweb" [the hypermedia version of Wax], "The Telepathic Motion Picture..." has been my main work in this period. It is a fairly large project, and since Japan I've been working at it on my own, so what with this part and that part and the other part and the other part on top of this or that, etc., well, I'm still at it. But I expect to finish for distribution in 2007. By David Blair at 2006-11-28 17:55 | David Blair's blog | add new comment

Just been through WAX and it's been pretty damn interesting.Kind of like an unintentional(??) "William S. Burroughs approach", at least to me.Two thumbs up! wishing for your new project to happily evolve as well.
