Opportunity for Digital Scholars: New Scholars Seminar Preceding the DH2017 Conference

May 31, 2017

CHCI, centerNet, Western Sydney University and the Kule Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) are collaborating to organize a pre-conference seminar for new scholars interested in the digital humanities, immediately preceding the DH 2017 conference in Montreal, Canada. Financial support is available for up to 15 scholars to help with the costs of transportation, accommodation, mentoring, and a day-long unconference on August 8 in Montreal.

Graduate students and new scholars who want to attend DH 2107 but don’t have travel/accomodation support are encouraged to apply. Information regarding the seminar and applying for financing is available at www.ualberta.ca/kule-institute/news-events/kias-news-collection/2017/april/new-scholars-seminar-2017. Applications are due by June 4.

The Kule Institute for Advanced Study at the University of Alberta is organizing this seminar on behalf of CHCI and centerNet. Rachel Hendery (Senior Lecturer in Digital Humanities, Western Sydney University) and Geoffrey Rockwell (Director, Kule Institute for Advanced Study, University of Alberta, Canada) will convene the New Scholars Seminar.
